Validate an installation
The validation of an installation represents the final crucial step in the installation process. This is the moment when we confirm that the installation proceeded as planned and the equipment is ready to be operational.
User access: FleetiSuperAdmin, FleetiAdmin, FleetiCustomerService, FleetiCustomerServiceAdmin, FleetiOperator.
This functionality is accessible when the installation status is "Done".
When you click on the validation button, a confirmation modal window appears.
- You have the option to update the name of the gateway before validating.
- Add a comments.
If the verification result is not "OK", the comments is required.
If the installation is validated despite a "NOK" verification result, a property is added to the validation to indicate that it was forced. This is displayed as a tag in the installation view.
Once the installation is validated, several actions take place in the background to ensure the transition to the operational status:
- The gateway is moved from the warehouse account to the customer's account on Fleeti Tracking.
- The gateway is now visible for the customers on Fleeti Tracking..
- The gateway is added to the assets' gateways and is now visible on the asset view.
- The gateway is set live, meaning the real-time data from the gateway and accessories is now updated on the asset. The data can now be visible for customer on Fleeti One.
After validation, the installation moves to the status Close. No further actions are possible on the installation.

Installation Validation
