Update a gateway name

To update the name of the gateway in Fleeti Admin, follow these simple steps. Updating the name of the gateway is an effective way to ensure accurate and organized management of your fleet.

User access: FleetiSuperAdmin, FleetiAdmin, FleetiCustomerService, FleetiCustomerServiceAdmin, FleetiOperator, FleetiTechnician, FleetiTechnicianAdmin

Access the Asset View

First, access the asset view in Fleeti Admin. You can do this by searching for the asset in the customer's profile or from the global list of assets.

Click on the Relevant Gateway

In the asset view, locate the card of the gateway you wish to modify. Click on the button associated with this gateway to open the options.

Choose "Update Gateway Name"

From the options dropdown, choose the "Update Gateway Name" option. This will allow you to edit the current name of the gateway.

Modify the Gateway Name

An editing field will appear, allowing you to modify the name of the gateway.

You can do this by manually entering a new name or using the "Copy the asset name" option to copy the name of the associated asset into the field. This option saves you time by avoiding manual input.

Confirm the Modification

Once you have entered the new name, click "Confirm" to save the changes. The name of the gateway will be updated and reflected in the asset view.

Please note that if the gateway is associated with the provider "Fleeti Tracking", the gateway name will also be updated on "Fleeti Tracking".

By following these simple steps, you can easily update the name of the gateway, contributing to maintaining an accurate and up-to-date organization of your fleet in Fleeti Admin.
