The Installation operation is a pivotal process within Fleeti. It facilitates the installation of equipment, primarily involving a gateway and optionally accessories, onto an asset. This operation ensures that the assets are accurately configured, allowing seamless integration with the fleet management system.

By enabling users to plan and configure equipment installations beforehand, this operation plays a crucial role in asset management. Users can centralize and trace configurations, avoiding errors and ensuring a smooth installation process on the field.

To access installations, go to the Operations menu and select Installation from the list of operation types.

This operation is beneficial when a gateway malfunctions or requires an upgrade. It ensures that the asset's historical data is preserved while providing an enhanced gateway.

This feature ensures that the transition from an old gateway to a new one is efficient and well-documented, ultimately enhancing asset performance and reducing downtimes.
