Move the gateway to the warehouse account

In Fleeti Admin, you have the option to move the gateway to the warehouse account. This action has significant implications for the link between the asset and the gateway, as well as for the data history.

User access: FleetiSuperAdmin, FleetiAdmin, FleetiCustomerService, FleetiCustomerServiceAdmin, FleetiOperator, FleetiTechnician, FleetiTechnicianAdmin

How to Move the Gateway to the Warehouse Account



Access the Asset View
First, access the view of the asset to which the gateway is currently associated in Fleeti Admin.

Find the Gateway Section
In the asset view, locate the section that displays the gateways associated with this asset.

Select "Move to Warehouse"
Click the button to display actions related to the gateway and choose the "Move to Warehouse" option.

Confirm
A confirmation window will appear asking you to confirm the action. Confirm moving the gateway to the warehouse.

Impacts on the Asset



- The asset is no longer linked to the gateway and loses its data history associated with this gateway.

Impacts on the Gateway



- The gateway is transferred to the warehouse account.
- The settings of the gateway are reset.

Note that the gateway is now available to be used in another operation.

It is recommended to perform this action when you want to uninstall the gateway from the asset. Please note that a specific operation for uninstalling the gateway is currently under development and will be available very soon.

By following these steps, you can move the gateway to the warehouse account, which detaches it from the asset and makes it available for another operation. This provides flexibility in managing equipment, especially when they need to be reassigned or reinstalled on other assets.
