Configure installation: The gateway
Configuring the gateway is a pivotal step in the installation configuration process in Fleeti Admin. It is the focal point where the gateway is set up to function efficiently within the system.

An old gateway can be used on a new installation. Ensure that the gateway is not linked to any other undeleted operation or asset.
It is possible to configure an installation when the status is pending or configuration.
There are two ways to configure an installation:
Configuration from the Installation List: Search for the installation in the list and click on the configuration button with the settings icon.
Configuration from the Installation View: Go into the installation view and click on the "Configure" button.
After clicking the button, the configuration view appears.
The configuration form includes the following elements:
- Phone Number: Retrieved from the previous step (read-only).
- Panel: Required and can be modified.
- IMEI: Required.
- Model: Required.
The model must be registered in the gateway model settings.
- Gateway Name: Mandatory.
- Configuration File: Mandatory.
The configuration file must be registered in the gateway model settings and must be active.
It is recommended to download the file to use it on the manufacturer's platform.
During configuration on Fleeti Admin, the following actions are performed on Fleeti Tracking:
- The gateway is registered in the warehouse account.
- Trip detection is updated.
- LBS settings are updated.
- Harsh driving settings are activated.
- Ignition, ignition counter, and hardware mileage sensors are created.
- Counters (odometer and engine hours) are reset to 0.
- Odometer source is set to hardware mileage sensor.
- Engine hours source is set to ignition counter.
If the gateway is CAN, CAN sensors are also created.
