Bind a gateway to an asset

In Fleeti Admin, you have the ability to link a gateway to an asset. This action is crucial as it establishes a vital connection between the gateway and the asset, enabling the collection of valuable data for your fleet.

It is highly recommended to go through an installation to install a gateway and associate it with an asset.

How to Link a Gateway to an Asset

Access the Asset View

First, access the view of the asset you wish to link the gateway to in Fleeti Admin.

Select "Link a Gateway"

Click on the button to display asset actions and choose the "Link a Gateway" option.

Choose the Gateway to Link

A window will pop up presenting you with the available gateways. You can choose either a gateway from the customer account or a gateway from the warehouse account.

Confirm the Link

Select the gateway you want to link to the asset and confirm your choice. The gateway is then associated with the asset.

Starting from November 1, 2023, this feature will be obsolete and will be replaced by a specific operation process. We recommend using the installation operation instead of this feature to ensure precise and optimal setup of gateways with your assets.

This transition to an operation process provides more flexibility and control in managing gateways associated with your assets. Stay tuned to benefit from these new features and enhancements in Fleeti Admin.
