How to replace an accessory

User access: FleetiSuperAdmin, FleetiAdmin, FleetiCustomerService, FleetiCustomerServiceAdmin, FleetiOperator, FleetiTechnician, FleetiTechnicianAdmin

However, it is recommended that the Technician performs the replacement of the accessory, as not all roles mentioned above have access to the Fleeti Tracking Panel and may not be aware of any additional configurations required on the Fleeti Tracking Panel for accessories.

How to replace an accessory

Before proceeding with the replacement of the accessory in Fleeti Admin, make sure to have properly installed the new accessory on the equipment.

For an accessory replacement, there is no need to create a new installation.

Access the asset view
Search for the asset to which the gateway is linked.

Locate the gateways section
In the asset view, locate the section that displays the gateways associated with this asset.

Identify the accessory
In the table listing the gateway's accessories, identify the accessory and click on the trash can icon to remove it. Once the icon is clicked, confirm the removal of the accessory.

Select "Add accessory"
Click the button to display actions related to the gateway and choose the "Add accessory" option.

Add an accessory
Fill in the necessary information in the form according to the type of accessory you want to add to the gateway and click "Validate" to add the accessory.

Configuration on the Fleeti Tracking Panel
If additional configurations are required for the accessory, access the Fleeti Tracking Panel and configure the accessory that has been added from Fleeti Admin. An example of an accessory that requires additional configuration on the Fleeti Tracking Panel is the fuel probe.

After configuration, it is necessary to verify that the accessory is correctly transmitting data. If the data is not being transmitted correctly, submit a support ticket detailing the actions taken to ensure proper data transmission from the accessory. This will help improve the process.

Development for a direct replacement functionality is in progress, stay tuned.
