Create an asset
In Fleeti Admin, you have the ability to create a new asset by following simple steps. Creating an asset is crucial to ensure that each element of your fleet is correctly listed and tracked.
User access: All roles
Access the Customer View
Start by accessing the customer view in Fleeti Admin. You can do this by searching for the respective customer.
Click on "New Asset"
In the customer view, locate the "New Asset" button and click on it to initiate the process of creating a new asset.
Select the Asset Type
A dropdown menu will appear, allowing you to choose the asset subtype and the asset type you want to create. Select the appropriate type.
It's important to note that if the chosen subtype automatically fills the "Asset Type" field, you still have the option to modify it based on your specific needs.
Click on "Next"
Once you have filled in the information and customized the asset according to your needs, click on the "Next" button to proceed to the next step.
Fill in Additional Information (Based on Asset Type)
Depending on the selected type, a specific information form will appear. Fill in the required fields, such as name, type, brand, model, license plate, etc.
Customize the Asset (Optional)
You can further customize the asset by adding an insurance contract and a rental contract, even after creation.
Finalize Creation
After providing all the required information, click on "Create" or a similar option to finalize the creation of the asset.

- Fuel Type (recommended if fuel feature is planned for the asset)

- Internal (Yes/No)
- Dimensions (if the site type is a cold room)
- Threshold Temperature (if the site type is a cold room)

- System (Android/iOS)
- IMEI (recommended)
Regardless of the asset type, you have the option to add an insurance contract and a rental contract during the creation of the asset or later.
By following these steps and providing specific information for each type of asset, you will be able to efficiently create and manage your fleet in Fleeti Admin.
