# Manage gateway configuration files

Managing gateway configuration files is a crucial step in the installation configuration process within Fleeti Admin. This ensures that configuration files are up to date for each **gateway** model, directly impacting operations, especially installations.

## How to access the Feature
To access this feature, go to the "System Settings" menu and select the "Gateway Models" tab. Choose the **gateway** model to update and scroll to the configuration files section.

## Add a New Configuration File
- Click on the "New file" button.
- Fill out the form:
  *  **Gateway** model: read-only.
  * File name.
  * Version number.
  * Toggle button to activate the configuration file: if enabled, the configuration file will be active.
  * File selector to upload the configuration file.
- Click on the "Add" button, and the configuration file will be saved.

## Adding a New Version of the Configuration File
- Select the **gateway** model.
- Go to the configuration files section.
- Click on the options button and choose the action "Add a version".
- Fill out the form:
  * **Gateway** model name (read-only).
  * Configuration file name (read-only).
  * Version number.
  * Toggle button to activate the configuration file.
  * File selector to upload the configuration file.

## Updating a Configuration File Version
*Add a note that a version can be activated this way.*
- Select the **gateway** model.
- Go to the configuration files section.
- Click on the options button and choose the action "Version History".
- The view of the version history of the configuration files is displayed. Click on the edit button of the config file.
- Fill out the form and validate.

## Downloading a Version
- Select the **gateway** model.
- Go to the configuration files section.
- Click on the options button and choose the action "Version History".
- The view of the version history of the configuration files is displayed. Click on the download button of the config file.
- A window opens to select the location of the file to download, and the file is downloaded.

## Deleting a Configuration File Version
- Select the **gateway** model.
- Go to the configuration files section.
- Click on the options button and choose the action "Version History".
- The view of the version history of the configuration files is displayed. Click on the delete button of the config file.
- The version is deleted.
