# Configure replacement: The gateway

The gateway configuration is a crucial step in the process of configuring a replacement in Fleeti Admin.

|| User Access: **FleetiSuperAdmin**, **FleetiAdmin**, **FleetiCustomerService**, **FleetiCustomerServiceAdmin**, **FleetiOperator**, **FleetiTechnician**, **FleetiTechnicianAdmin**

||| An old gateway can be used for a replacement. Make sure the **gateway** is not linked to any other non-deleted operation or any non-deleted asset.

It is possible to configure a replacement when the status is _pending_ or _configuring_.

### How to Configure a Replacement

1. **Access the Configuration View**
__Method 1: Configuration from Operation List:__
Look for the replacement in the list and click on the configuration button with the settings icon.

__Method 2: Configuration from Replacement View:__
Go to the replacement view and click on the "Configure" button.

2. **Configuration Form**
   The configuration form includes the following elements:

| Field | Description |
| --------------------| ---------------------------------------------- |
| Phone Number | Retrieved from the previous step (read-only) |
| Panel | The panel |
| Plan | The plan for which to configure the gateway |
| IMEI | The unique identifier of the gateway |
| Model | The model of the gateway |
| Gateway Name | The name you want to give to the gateway |
| Configuration File  | The gateway's configuration file |

### Impacts
- The gateway is registered in the warehouse account.
